Pharmacist in Camarillo, CA

A full-time Pharmacist position is available within a multi-pharmacy healthcare system serving Ventura County. This role involves providing pharmaceutical care across three distinct pharmacy locations: Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC), St. Paula Hospital, and the Infusion Center Pharmacy.

The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including 8-hour and 10-hour shifts, with variable hours that may include swing shifts, every other weekend coverage, and holiday work. A willingness to travel between the three pharmacy sites is essential.

Key responsibilities include dispensing medications, managing prescriptions, and ensuring safe handling and compounding of hazardous medications, such as chemotherapy agents. Experience with the Cerner electronic health record system is preferred, though training will be provided for qualified candidates.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with valid credentials
• Experience in hospital or medical center pharmacy settings
• Ability to compound chemotherapy and handle hazardous medications safely
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Willingness to travel between multiple pharmacy locations within the system
• Familiarity with Cerner EHR is advantageous but not required
