Staff Pharmacist in Camarillo, CA

An opportunity is available for two experienced pharmacists to provide inpatient pharmacy services at a prominent medical center in Ventura County. This contract role offers an immediate start and extends approximately 3 to 6 months, with potential for transition to a permanent position.

Schedule and Hours:

• Full-time position
• Primarily four 10-hour shifts per week, with some 8-hour shifts depending on the assigned pharmacy
• Variable shifts including swing shifts
• Coverage may require some weekends and holiday hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver inpatient pharmacy services ensuring safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Provide drug information and clinical support as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current valid California Pharmacist license required
• Previous inpatient pharmacy experience is highly desirable
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records is preferred; training provided for the right candidate
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
