Provide critical care and medication management as a Staff Pharmacist in a busy inpatient setting at a medical center in Ventura County. This role requires expertise in ensuring safe and effective use of medications across various hospital departments. The position offers a dynamic full-time schedule with opportunities to work 8-hour and 10-hour shifts, primarily four 10-hour shifts per week, including swing shifts, some weekends, and potential holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify inpatient medications accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Participate in clinical rounds and provide medication-related consultations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within the pharmacy system
Desired Qualifications:
- Active California Pharmacist license
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy practice
- Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy system is preferred; training provided if needed
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
