Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Carson, WA

A critical access hospital located near the WA/OR border is seeking a per diem relief pharmacist to provide coverage at their 25-bed facility. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with at least one year of current hospital experience who is comfortable working in a small-town hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy services during scheduled shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians who will support medication distribution.
• Utilize Cerner electronic health records and Pyxis automation systems.
• Participate in a brief training period prior to coverage dates to familiarize with hospital protocols.

Coverage Dates:

• July: 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 30, 31
• August: 6, 7, 14, 15, 20, 21, 24, 25
• September: Fridays

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a pharmacist with a minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience.
• Experience working with Cerner and Pyxis systems preferred.
• Ability to provide independent pharmacy services in a critical access hospital setting.
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to a small rural health environment.

Location:

• Small town on the Washington/Oregon border

Schedule:

• 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM shifts
• No on-call responsibilities
