Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Carson, WA

A critical access hospital located on the WA/OR border is seeking a relief pharmacist to provide per diem coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with recent hospital experience to support a small-town medical facility serving a close-knit community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy services during day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) without on-call duties
• Collaborate with the pharmacy technician team to ensure efficient medication dispensing
• Utilize Cerner and Pyxis systems to maintain accurate medication records and inventory
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards for medication management
• Participate in initial training sessions to become familiar with hospital protocols and workflow

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of current hospital pharmacy experience
• Ability to adapt quickly to a small hospital environment and work independently
• Proficiency in using Cerner electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
• Strong communication skills for working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Location:

• Small town situated on the Washington/Oregon border, serving a 25-bed critical access hospital

Schedule:

• Coverage required on select days in July and August, plus Fridays in September
• Shift hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
