We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity within a specialty compounding pharmacy focused on customized, patient-specific medications.
This role supports both sterile and non-sterile production in a highly regulated environment where precision, compliance, and consistency are critical.
Schedule Options (Monday–Friday):
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (may be assigned after training)
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations
• Follow and enforce SOPs for compounding processes and patient safety
• Maintain strict adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards
• Perform calculations, documentation, and verification of master formula worksheets
• Execute proper aseptic technique, garbing, and cleanroom procedures
• Operate and monitor compounding and production equipment
• Conduct quality control checks on compounded medications
• Support dispensing operations and provide patient counseling when needed
• Maintain a clean, compliant, and audit-ready production environment
• Stay current on compounding practices, techniques, and regulatory updates
Requirements:
• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required
• Recent pharmacy experience required
• Sterile compounding experience required
• Strong knowledge of USP standards required
• Attention to detail and commitment to strict compliance required
• Strong attendance and reliability are essential for this role
