A unique opportunity exists for a Staff Pharmacist to support a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Charlotte, NC, providing essential pharmacy services to an underserved community. This role is vital for maintaining the health and wellbeing of patients through expert medication management in a 340B program setting. The position starts within one month and offers coverage for approximately 4-6 weeks with the potential for extension.

Location:

  • Charlotte, NC

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • No weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily pharmacy operations using the PioneerRx system
  • Provide patient-centered care in a 1 Pharmacist/1 Technician environment
  • Ensure compliance with FQHC and 340B program requirements
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare staff to support underserved patient populations
  • Counsel patients effectively on medication use and safety

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active North Carolina Pharmacist license (required)
  • 1-3 years of pharmacist experience, preferably with FQHC or similar community health settings
  • Comfort working in small pharmacy teams
  • Experience serving underserved populations preferred
  • Spanish language skills highly desirable to enhance patient communication

Additional Details:

  • The current Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is on a medical leave; this role requires reliability and adaptability
  • Coverage may start as a contract with Per Diem availability for both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
