A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for short-term coverage due to a medical leave of absence. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential pharmacy services in a community-focused setting serving an underserved patient population.
Position Details:
- Location: Charlotte, NC
- Setting: FQHC/340B
- Start Date: Within one month
- Duration: Approximately 4-6 weeks (may be adjusted based on need)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (No weekends)
- System: PioneerRx
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a patient-centered environment
- Manage daily operations alongside a pharmacy technician in a one pharmacist/one tech model
- Deliver culturally sensitive care to a diverse, primarily underserved community
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy regulations and clinical protocols
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active North Carolina Pharmacist License (required)
- 1 to 3 years of pharmacist experience
- Experience working in an FQHC or similar community health setting preferred
- Comfortable working with underserved and diverse patient populations
- Spanish language skills preferred, especially advantageous if fluent; pharmacy technician on site speaks Spanish
Additional Information:
- The client is looking for pharmacists who are adaptable, patient-focused, and comfortable working independently in a small team setting.
- Per diem opportunities are also available for both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
This is a contract assignment designed to provide critical coverage during an expected 4-6+ week leave, with flexibility to extend or shorten as needed.
