A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Charlotte is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to provide essential coverage during a planned 4-6 week leave of absence. This role offers valuable experience working in a community-focused healthcare setting serving an underserved patient population, with potential for slight schedule flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary pharmacist in a one Pharmacist/one Technician pharmacy environment.
- Manage medication dispensing, safety checks, and counseling using the PioneerRx system.
- Support patient care with a focus on underserved communities, ensuring compassionate and culturally sensitive service.
- Collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians, including Spanish-speaking staff, to optimize workflow and patient experience.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active North Carolina pharmacist license (required).
- 1-3 years of pharmacy practice experience; experience within an FQHC or similar community health setting preferred.
- Comfortable working independently in a small pharmacy team.
- Spanish language proficiency is a strong plus but not mandatory.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; no weekend shifts.
- Position located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Expected assignment duration of approximately 4 to 6 weeks, with potential variations.
