A direct hire opportunity is available for a skilled Staff Pharmacist to work in a closed-door long-term care (LTC) facility. This role offers a consistent day shift schedule with an engaging workload in a setting focused on comprehensive patient medication management.
Shift and Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Rotating every 3rd weekend
- Weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Commitment to a minimum of one summer holiday and one winter holiday
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and final medication reviews using the Frameworks software system (training provided)
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to meet patient needs
- Manage a high-volume workload, approximately 600 prescriptions per day, ensuring safety and compliance
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear New Jersey Pharmacist license
- Proven pharmacy experience, preferably in a high-volume or LTC environment
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Comfortable learning and utilizing pharmacy software systems such as Frameworks
