Hospital Staff Pharmacist - Chicago, IL

This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist role within a hospital inpatient pharmacy setting located just west of downtown Chicago. The position involves typical inpatient duties and offers a challenging, fast-paced environment well suited for pharmacists with recent hospital experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform medication checking and verification
• Supervise pharmacy technicians during shifts
• Check and verify intravenous (IV) medications
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and communication

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of one year recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
• Licensed Pharmacist in Illinois
• Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy workflows and IV medication preparation
• Proficiency using EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Schedule:

• Contract position lasting approximately 13 weeks
• Dayshift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Rotating weekends
