Pharmacist in Chicago, IL

An opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations at a renowned medical center in Chicago, IL. This 13-week contract begins on March 23 and offers a dynamic schedule consisting of day and evening shifts with rotating weekends. Candidates must be prepared to start promptly due to the urgent need to fill this position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties including medication verification and order checking
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with standards
• Conduct IV admixture checking to maintain patient safety and medication accuracy
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation and verification processes

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience is required
• Valid Illinois pharmacist license must be current and submitted with application
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system preferred
• Ability to provide two references from inpatient pharmacy settings

Schedule:

• 3 days on / 3 days off rotation
• Mix of days and evening shifts
• Rotating weekend coverage
