This opportunity offers a rewarding role for a skilled pharmacist to serve in a 100-bed community hospital in Southern Oregon. The assignment involves supporting inpatient pharmacy operations at a facility known for quality patient care and an engaging clinical environment. The position is based in Chiloquin, Oregon, with a focus on providing excellent pharmaceutical services across a variety of shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct order verification ensuring accuracy and safety of medication dispensing
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain operational efficiency
  • Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapies and treatment plans
  • Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dose adjustments as needed
  • Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Oregon pharmacy license is required
  • At least one year of experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
  • Full-time availability with a willingness to work variable days and afternoon shifts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred

Schedule:

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • Variable days including some afternoons

Contract Details:

  • Duration of 13 weeks
  • Immediate start preferred
