A hospital-based pharmacist opportunity is available for an experienced professional licensed in Ohio to provide expert pharmaceutical care during night shifts. This role involves ensuring medication safety, efficacy, and compliance while collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Location: Lancaster, OH
Schedule: Nights, 7 days on / 7 days off
Shift Hours: 8:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Thursday through Wednesday)
Start Date: June 1
Duration: 13+ weeks (Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, interpret, and accurately dispense medication orders and prescriptions
  • Monitor patient medication therapies for appropriateness and effectiveness
  • Maintain and enforce pharmacy policies, quality programs, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide drug information and counseling to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Respond to medical emergencies, assist with medication preparation, and ensure adequate medication supplies
  • Oversee daily pharmacy technician activities aligned with patient and organizational needs

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an accredited U.S. college of pharmacy
  • Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing
  • Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with healthcare staff and patients
  • Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and patient-centered care values

Physical & Work Environment:

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift 10-25 pounds
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and memory skills necessary
  • Collaborative engagement with healthcare teams in a clinical setting
