Staff Pharmacist in Citrus Heights, CA

A 50-bed rehabilitation hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to fill a working Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role in the Citrus Heights area. This position offers the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities while providing direct patient care in a supportive hospital environment.

Location: Citrus Heights, CA
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks) with potential to convert to contract-to-hire
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts
• Shared on-call duties with PRN pharmacists for after-hours coverage

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing pharmacy operations and compliance
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care
• Participate in medication management and safety initiatives
• Manage on-call duties on a rotating basis

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid California pharmacist license
• Experience in a hospital or acute care pharmacy setting
• Strong leadership qualities with the willingness to assume PIC responsibilities
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
