Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist - Citrus Heights, California

Urgent need for experienced pharmacists to provide per diem support across multiple Northern California locations. This opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking flexible, supplemental shifts in retail pharmacy settings.

Locations include:

• Sacramento area (3-4 pharmacists)
• Bay Area/North Bay (2 pharmacists)
• Northern California (Redding, Chico – 2 pharmacists)

Position Type: Per Diem
Candidates must be willing to commute within their assigned region to cover shifts as needed, averaging 1-2 shifts per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians
• Dispense medications accurately and provide patient consultations
• Administer immunizations following certification standards
• Utilize McKesson's Enterprise (ERx) software system for prescription processing and records management

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Certification in immunization administration required
• California pharmacist license in good standing
• Proven ability to manage techs and pharmacy workflow efficiently
• Reliable transportation and willingness to commute; mileage reimbursement available for travel exceeding 30 miles one way
