Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Citrus Heights, California

Pharmacists are needed for per diem retail positions across several California locations, including Citrus Heights, Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern California regions such as Redding and Chico. This role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability while supporting multiple stores needing coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional pharmacy services including dispensing medications accurately and compliantly.
• Open and close the pharmacy, ensuring all procedures and protocols are followed.
• Manage pharmacy technicians effectively to maintain smooth store operations.
• Administer immunizations as per certification requirements.
• Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software for pharmacy management and record-keeping.
• Travel to assigned locations as needed, with mileage reimbursement for commutes exceeding 30 miles one way.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in California.
• At least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience, including opening/closing procedures and supervising pharmacy technicians.
• Immunization certification is mandatory.
• Experience with McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software preferred.
• Willingness to commute to various locations within the service areas mentioned.
• Ideal candidates are part-time pharmacists seeking to pick up additional shifts on a per diem basis.

Location:

• Positions available in Citrus Heights, Sacramento (3-4 openings), Bay Area/North Bay (2 openings), and Northern California including Redding and Chico (2 openings).

Schedule:

• Per diem shifts as needed, averaging 1-2 shifts per week based on store coverage requests.
