Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Cleveland, OH

A specialty retail pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist to support a unique patient population managing complex medication regimens. This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills, comfortable working with patients who take multiple medications daily.

Schedule:

• Tuesday 2/3, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday 2/5, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday 2/10, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday 2/12, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday 2/13, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify complex medication regimens for patients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered consultations tailored to individuals, many of whom have low literacy levels.
• Employ strong disease state management and counseling skills to optimize patient adherence and outcomes.
• Utilize Pioneer Rx software to accurately process prescriptions and maintain documentation.
• Support a patient population primarily covered by Medicare/Medicaid and low-income programs.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license with experience in retail and/or specialty pharmacy settings.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and patiently with patients managing multiple chronic conditions.
• Deep knowledge of the top 200-400 medications commonly used in retail pharmacy.
• Prior specialty retail pharmacy experience highly preferred.
• Strong commitment to quality patient care over high volume dispensing.
