Retail Staff Pharmacist - Clifton, New Jersey

A licensed Pharmacist is needed to help launch a new outpatient pharmacy within a growing healthcare organization focused on community health. This role offers an exciting chance to establish pharmacy operations from the ground up in Newark, NJ, serving a diverse and underserved patient population. Location: Newark, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Schedule:

• Monday through Saturday
• Day Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday-only candidates may also be considered

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions
• Provide medication counseling and patient education
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
• Manage prescription processing, insurance claims, and medication access issues
• Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and company regulations
• Support pharmacy workflow, quality initiatives, and patient care programs
• Foster a positive, patient-centered pharmacy experience

Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey Pharmacist License
• 1-2+ years of experience in community, retail, ambulatory care, or outpatient pharmacy
• Experience in community health, 340B programs, or underserved patient settings preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
• Familiarity with pharmacy systems such as PrimeRx or MicroMerchant considered a plus
• Strong clinical knowledge, communication abilities, and patient care focus
