Staff Pharmacist | Cloudcroft, New Mexico

A pharmacy professional opportunity is available in Cloudcroft, NM, seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to support both primary and secondary retail locations. This contract position requires a motivated individual with strong clinical and supervisory skills in a community grocery store pharmacy setting. Flexibility and a commitment to patient care are essential.

Schedule:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Closed weekends and six major holidays at the primary location
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required at the secondary location

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active New Mexico Pharmacist License in good standing, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive licenses required
• Minimum one year of registered pharmacist experience preferred
• APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days
• Ability and willingness to cover shifts at secondary retail location, including occasional weekends
• Strong patient counseling and medication dispensing skills
• Experience supervising pharmacy technician staff
• Adaptability to work across multiple locations

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare, review, and dispense medication orders according to protocols
• Maintain and update accurate patient medication profiles
• Supervise, direct, and verify the work of pharmacy technicians
• Participate in medical emergency response as part of the pharmacy team
• Conduct medication storage inspections and remove outdated medications
• Train and orient new pharmacy team members
• Follow infection control procedures in all pharmacy operations
