Staff Pharmacist in Clovis, CA

This opportunity is perfect for a licensed pharmacist seeking a dynamic role with a pathway to permanent employment. The position begins immediately on a 12-week contract with the potential to convert to a full-time role. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., offering no weekend work.

Key responsibilities include accurately accepting and dispensing prescription medications while ensuring compliance with all legal and safety standards. You will monitor patients’ medication usage to identify any overuse or compliance issues, maintain confidential patient records, and provide consultations on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions. Additional duties involve educating patients on medical device usage, compounding medications, preparing sterile solutions, and supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.

Collaboration is a vital part of this role, working closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and interns to optimize patient care and address drug-related problems. You will also manage inventory for pharmaceutical and medical supplies, ensuring efficient pharmacy operations.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active California pharmacist license required
• Retail pharmacist experience preferred, but training is available for motivated candidates
• Strong communication and supervision skills
• Attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining confidential records
• Familiarity with compounding and sterile preparation techniques is a plus
