Pharmacist in Columbia, MD

Seek a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to support a specialty pharmacy focusing on behavioral medications in the Baltimore, MD area. This full-time opportunity offers a Monday through Friday day shift from 7:00am to 4:00pm on a 4-week contract basis. Candidates may choose to fulfill the role independently or partner as part-time pharmacists to cover the full shift.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify prescriptions, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols
• Provide thorough patient counseling to support medication understanding and compliance
• Oversee and manage pharmacy technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment
• Work with PioneerRX pharmacy system to facilitate daily operations
• Support a high-volume pharmacy processing 100-200 prescriptions per day with a skilled team including five technicians and one specialty pharmacist

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active, clear Maryland State Pharmacist license without disciplinary history
• Previous experience in retail or specialty pharmacy preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to supervise and motivate pharmacy technicians effectively

• Based in Baltimore, MD at a specialty pharmacy dedicated to behavioral health medications

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm
