Seeking a skilled pharmacist for a per diem role in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and 340B pharmacy setting in Columbus, IN. This position offers the opportunity to contribute expertise in a community-focused healthcare environment, utilizing Liberty RX software. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. No holidays or weekends are required. The assignment dates are June 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare drugs and prescription orders for collection or delivery, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee ordering of pharmacy equipment and supplies, managing inventory to prevent shortages.
  • Apply protocols for safe storage of prescription drugs and controlled substances, routinely verifying expiry dates.
  • Verify prescription details with healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records covering inventory, patient information, and insurance claims.
  • Provide telepharmacy support and maintain the retail pharmacy environment.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager to support staff needs and ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Address customer requests and resolve complaints promptly.
  • Monitor product displays and overall pharmacy appearance to maintain a professional environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active, verified Indiana Pharmacist license.
  • Immunization license.
  • Experience with Liberty RX software preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills; Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus.
  • Current resume, skills checklist, and references required.
