This per diem pharmacist opportunity is ideal for a licensed professional seeking flexible work within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and 340B pharmacy setting. The role involves providing quality pharmaceutical care with a focus on supporting medication management, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM lunch)
  • Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (with 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM lunch)
  • No holidays or weekend shifts
  • Specific dates: June 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare drugs and fill prescription orders accurately for pickup or delivery
  • Manage ordering of pharmacy equipment and supplies
  • Control and monitor inventory levels, ensuring proper storage and adherence to protocols for prescription drugs and controlled substances
  • Verify prescriptions by collaborating with prescribing healthcare professionals as needed
  • Monitor drug expiration dates and maintain approved controlled substances lists
  • Oversee pharmacy appearance and product displays to ensure optimum professional standards
  • Address customer inquiries and issues with professionalism and care
  • Maintain precise records of inventory, patient data, and insurance documentation
  • Support telepharmacy services to expand patient access
  • Work closely with the Pharmacy Manager to assess ongoing pharmacy operations and staffing requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Active Indiana Pharmacist license (verification required)
  • Immunization license
  • Submission of resume, skills checklist, and references
  • Spanish language skills are a strong plus
