A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available at a specialty retail pharmacy serving complex patient populations in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on providing expert medication management for patients who often take 8-15 medications daily, requiring a thoughtful, patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense and manage complex medication therapies using Pioneer Rx software.
• Provide detailed consultations and education to patients, particularly those with chronic and advanced disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis.
• Demonstrate compassion and patience, effectively communicating with a Medicare/Medicaid, low-income patient base with varying literacy levels.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes and address patient medication concerns.
• Uphold a model of practice focused on quality patient care, not volume.

Qualifications:

• Strong retail and/or specialty pharmacy experience required, preferably including specialty medication management.
• Proven expertise in disease state management and patient consultation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse patients.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, specialty pharmacy environment.

• Friday, 2/13: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
