Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Columbus, Ohio

This opportunity seeks a knowledgeable and compassionate pharmacist to support a specialty retail pharmacy focused on complex medication management. The position is per diem, with specific shifts available at the Columbus, OH location. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with strong retail and specialty pharmacy experience who excels in patient consultation and disease state management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert medication consultation and management for patients taking multiple medications daily
• Communicate clearly and patiently with patients, particularly those with low literacy and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis
• Utilize Pioneer Rx software for prescription processing and record keeping
• Deliver personalized care aligned with a patient-centric model prioritizing complex therapy guidance over dispensing volume

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active pharmacist licensure with solid retail and/or specialty pharmacy background
• Demonstrated strength in disease state management and patient consultation skills
• Experience working with Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patient populations
• Exceptional communication skills and patience to engage effectively with patients managing advanced disease states
• Ability to handle complex medication regimens involving 8-15 medications daily

• Thursday 2/5, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday 2/10, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday 2/12, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday 2/13, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
