A specialty pharmacy in Cordova, TN is seeking a motivated Staff Pharmacist ready to grow professionally and make a meaningful impact on patient care. This Contract to Hire opportunity is ideal for newer graduates or pharmacists eager to learn and thrive in a supportive environment with low dispensing volume and a strong focus on specialty therapies.
This role involves managing pharmaceutical care for patients with complex conditions such as hemophilia, immune deficiencies, and autoimmune disorders, using infused and novel therapies. You will develop expertise in factor replacement therapies, emicizumab, and a variety of subcutaneous and IV infusions. Patient education and empowerment are key responsibilities, helping patients and families understand medication administration, side effect management, and adherence techniques.
You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and in-house care coordinators to ensure seamless patient care. Additionally, support patients in navigating insurance benefits and prior authorizations by partnering with reimbursement specialists.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist in Tennessee (other state licensing openness is a plus)
- Experience with CareTend software highly preferred; training available
- Strong work ethic with a drive to learn and grow professionally
- Interest in contributing to a specialty pharmacy and potentially becoming a partial owner
- Excellent communication skills to educate and collaborate effectively
