An opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a retail setting. This permanent position is based in Elmira, NY, within a well-established retail pharmacy. The schedule offers 36 hours per week, including weekday and weekend shifts to ensure consistent pharmacy operations.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 7 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM – 2 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and optimize profitability.
- Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and dispense medications and medical compounds, including non-prescription products.
- Provide guidance to self-medicating patients and maintain open communication with healthcare and insurance professionals.
- Administer patient immunizations regularly as part of pharmacy services.
- In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, oversee scheduling, performance recognition, disciplinary actions, and daily work assignments to maximize staff effectiveness and align with company goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Current and valid New York State Pharmacist License.
- Strong understanding of retail pharmacy operations and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage inventory and collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and insurance entities.
