A 250-bed hospital in a scenic northern California location is seeking a skilled pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a dynamic hospital setting. Job Type: Travel Pharmacist, Temp-to-Hire opportunity
Schedule Options:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week OR
- Seven days on, seven days off (days or afternoons)
Responsibilities:
- Order verification to ensure accuracy and safety
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize patient outcomes
- Conducting pharmacokinetic evaluations and consultations
- Utilizing IT systems such as Cerner and Omnicell for daily operations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active California pharmacist license required
- Previous experience in hospital pharmacy preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
- Flexibility and a positive attitude toward travel assignments and work schedules
- PGY1 residency training is highly desirable
- Willingness to work in a northern California setting and adapt to variable pay expectations
