Staff Pharmacist | Cushing, Oklahoma

A community hospital north of Oklahoma City is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist for a night shift position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in a permanent or temp-to-hire position, with a strong preference for those ready to commit long-term. Travelers willing to support on an interim basis will also be considered to maintain continuity of care.

Location: Hospital near Stillwater, OK (approximately 1 to 1.5 hours north of Oklahoma City)
Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off (nights)
Job Type: Contract to hire, permanent, or temporary

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification and medication dispensing accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient medication therapy
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert medication consults
• Utilize Meditech information system for pharmacy management and documentation

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Oklahoma pharmacist license
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
