This opportunity is seeking skilled pharmacists to support long-term care pharmacy services in Dallas, TX, with a focus on patient safety and medication management. The role requires expertise in prescription dispensing, medication consultation, and pharmacy operations to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities include:
- Accepting and accurately dispensing prescription medications
- Monitoring patient medication compliance and identifying improper usage
- Ensuring medicine supplies comply with legal regulations
- Maintaining confidential and precise patient records
- Educating patients on medication usage, side effects, and drug interactions
- Providing additional patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure, and cholesterol monitoring
- Training patients on medical device usage, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
- Compounding medications and preparing sterile solutions safely
- Supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
- Managing pharmaceutical and medical inventory efficiently
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to identify and resolve drug-related issues
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Texas pharmacist license in-hand is required
- Experience in retail pharmacy is acceptable; comprehensive training provided
- Strong communication skills for patient and healthcare team interaction
- Ability to perform supervisory duties within the pharmacy environment

Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am and/or 11:00 pm to 7:00 am shifts
- Rotating weekend coverage
This is a 9-week contract position with a contract-to-hire opportunity based on performance. Candidates should be available to start as soon as possible.
