Per Diem Pharmacist in Decatur, IL

A Per Diem Pharmacist position is available to support a specialty retail pharmacy focused on preparing special packaging for nursing homes. This role requires a detail-oriented pharmacist with a strong commitment to accuracy and patient care.

Schedule:

• 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
• Per Diem hours for flexibility

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately in compliance with regulations
• Provide patient counseling to ensure understanding and proper medication use
• Utilize Pioneer RX system to manage pharmacy operations and documentation
• Support specialty packaging services tailored for nursing home residents

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois State Pharmacist License is mandatory
• Experience with specialty retail pharmacy preferred
• Strong knowledge of prescription verification and patient communication
• Familiarity with pharmacy systems, especially Pioneer RX, is a plus
