Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Decatur, Illinois

This per diem pharmacist role provides an opportunity to support a specialty pharmacy focused on retail services, including filling special packaging for nursing homes.

Location:

• Decatur, IL

Schedule:

• Per diem hours
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently
• Counsel patients regarding their medications and proper usage
• Utilize Pioneer RX pharmacy system to manage prescriptions and related tasks

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Illinois State Pharmacist License
• Experience with retail pharmacy operations, ideally specialty pharmacy and institutional packaging
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills for patient interactions

This position is starting April 1 and involves updating existing contract arrangements. It offers flexibility with per diem scheduling and engagement with a specialized pharmacy setting.
