Per Diem Staff Pharmacist | Denver, Colorado

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to provide professional pharmacy coverage in a retail pharmacy connected to a hospital setting in Haxtun, Colorado. This assignment runs from August 24th through August 28th, offering a unique chance to manage a pharmacy independently in a well-supported, community-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Counseling patients on medication use and safety
• Accurately filling and dispensing prescriptions
• Conducting final medication verifications
• Overseeing pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards

The pharmacy team consists of two full-time pharmacy technicians and a PRN pharmacist who is rarely present, so you will be the sole pharmacist on-site during your shift. This role requires confidence in managing the pharmacy autonomously.

Work schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Includes a 1-hour lunch break

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Active and clear Colorado pharmacist license
• Recent experience practicing as a pharmacist
• Open to recent graduates ready to step into a hands-on role

Housing accommodations may be available on-site through the hospital, depending on availability. If onsite housing is unavailable, arrangements will be made for comfortable hotel lodging.
