A temporary opportunity is available for two licensed pharmacists to support operations within a pharmacy warehouse. This 13-week contract role requires a commitment Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Location: Des Plaines, IL
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
    Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Qualifications:

  • Active and clear Illinois pharmacist license
  • Basic knowledge of IV medication handling and preparation

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty items
  • Manage medication inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste or expired products
  • Ensure compliance with USP standards and state/federal regulations in medication storage
  • Verify medication orders prior to preparation or shipment
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians in inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping tasks
  • Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to maintain supply availability for patient orders
  • Review and document controlled substance inventories accurately
  • Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits
  • Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to guarantee timely medication delivery
  • Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems to monitor supplies

This role is ideal for pharmacists who have a strong attention to detail and are comfortable working in a warehouse environment supporting medication distribution operations.
