A healthcare facility in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for a contract position lasting 13 weeks with the possibility of extension. This role involves working in an inpatient hospital environment, providing essential pharmaceutical care across rotating first and second shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and safely to inpatients
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
- Monitor patient responses and adjust medication plans as needed
- Utilize Cerner computer system for medication management and documentation
- Participate in rotating weekend shifts to ensure continuous patient care
Schedule:
- Rotating shifts: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM
- Rotating weekends
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois pharmacy license required
- Strong inpatient clinical experience highly desired
- Familiarity with Cerner computer system is a plus
