Staff Pharmacist in Deshler, NE

This role offers an opportunity to provide expert pharmaceutical care in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting the health and well-being of the community. The position reports to the Retail Pharmacy Manager and Director of Pharmacy, working full-time during day shifts in a professional, climate-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
• Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to optimize drug therapy and improve patient outcomes.
• Advise healthcare staff on drug therapy, side effects, and appropriate dosages.
• Oversee medication inventory, storage, and ordering processes.
• Maintain professional relationships with medical and nursing personnel, offering timely pharmaceutical information.
• Conduct medication use reviews, assess patient compliance, and make therapeutic recommendations.
• Mentor healthcare trainees including pharmacy and nursing students.
• Prepare drug use guidelines, therapeutic bulletins, and participate in facility committees.
• Respond to medication-related inquiries from healthcare providers and the public.
• Uphold confidentiality standards in line with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with budgetary information relating to drug expenditures.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred.
• Licensed pharmacist with successful licensure exam passage.
• Minimum three years’ retail pharmacist experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Current state license to practice pharmacy is required.
