A 250-bed community hospital in Dolan Springs, AZ, is seeking a staff pharmacist for a contract position. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with hospital experience who hold an Arizona license and are open to working night shifts. The position offers a 13-week assignment with the possibility to extend or convert to permanent.
Location:
- Dolan Springs, AZ (travel assignment near Kingman, AZ)
Schedule:
- Night shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off
- Hours: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders efficiently and accurately
- Supervise pharmacy technicians
- Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy
- Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
- Utilize Meditech for medication and patient record management
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Arizona pharmacist license required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Ability to supervise and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
