Two staffing pharmacist positions are open for a contract assignment at a hospital setting in the Dublin, OH area. This role offers the opportunity to support medication management in a busy inpatient environment with a licensed bed capacity of 222 and an average daily census of 120 patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify inpatient medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide oversight for sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding processes.
- Participate actively in codes, offering critical pharmacy support.
- Collaborate with nursing and provider staff to ensure safe and effective medication management.
- Dispense medications and provide patient education as needed.
- Utilize Cerner EHR system for computerized provider order entry (CPOE) verification.
- Support pharmacy operations alongside pharmacy technicians who prepare and deliver medications.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current Ohio Pharmacist License is mandatory.
- Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
- Proficiency or willingness to learn Cerner order entry system; training provided.
- Strong pharmacotherapy knowledge with expertise in antibiotic and renal dosing.
- Experience managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets is advantageous.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Coverage includes every 6th weekend.
