Per Diem Pharmacist opportunity available in Dublin, OH, providing specialized care in a fast-paced specialty retail pharmacy setting. This role focuses on managing complex medication regimens for patients with multiple chronic conditions, requiring a pharmacist with excellent communication skills and a strong clinical background.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and review prescriptions for patients managing complex, chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis.
  • Conduct thorough patient consultations, ensuring clear understanding of 8-15 daily medications.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care tailored to a Medicare/Medicaid, low-income population with varied health literacy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapies and address patient needs.
  • Utilize Pioneer Rx software for accurate prescription processing and record keeping.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist with strong retail and/or specialty pharmacy experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in disease state management and patient consultation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and patiently with patients handling complex medication regimens.
  • Experience working with chronic disease states and an understanding of common medications in a retail setting.
  • Compassion and sensitivity toward diverse patient populations with low literacy.
