Staff Pharmacist | Dyersville, Iowa

A contract opportunity is available for a full-time retail pharmacist to support multiple sites across Iowa, primarily based in Dubuque. The assignment begins July 13 and lasts approximately 13 weeks, providing a dynamic role floating between several locations including Preston, Bellevue, Independence, and Monticello. This position is ideal for a pharmacist with retail experience who thrives in a fast-paced and varied work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications accurately and ensuring their safe and efficient delivery under manager supervision
• Counseling patients on medication regimens and providing advice tailored to their needs
• Addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints in line with organizational policies
• Maintaining stock levels and managing controlled drug records and inventories
• Resolving patient issues, including clarifying third-party insurance coverage

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in Iowa
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a retail pharmacy setting
• Ability to manage workflow in a high-volume environment (with Dubuque handling 2800–3000 prescriptions daily)
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise software preferred
• Flexibility to travel between multiple pharmacy locations, with travel times ranging up to approximately 75 minutes from Dubuque

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm or 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Occasional half-day Saturdays as needed
