This opportunity is for a Staff Pharmacist position in East Saint Louis, IL, offering an ongoing contract role with flexible hours suited to those seeking part-time work in a pharmacy setting. The position requires a proficient pharmacist to manage typical retail pharmacy duties, including filling prescriptions, checking and verifying medications, and providing patient counseling.

Schedule:

• 24 to 30 hours per week
• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Sunday: Emergency orders only, with on-call coverage from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (on-call pay provided)

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescriptions according to state and federal regulations
• Counsel patients on medication use and safety
• Work collaboratively with pharmacy staff to maintain efficient operations
• Manage emergency orders during on-call hours on Sundays

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy License required
• PharmD degree preferred
• Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software is highly desired
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
