Staff Pharmacist - Eden Prairie, Minnesota

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist in Eden Prairie, MN, to support an active local healthcare facility. This role is critical as a priority backfill due to a fall-off, offering an ideal chance for pharmacists ready to start immediately in the region.

Schedule:

• Flexible shifts between 9:30 AM–6:00 PM, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM, or 11:00 AM–8:30 PM
• Must be available to rotate weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday)

Responsibilities include:

• Accepting and dispensing prescription medications accurately and in compliance with legal regulations
• Monitoring patient medication use and adherence to therapy
• Maintaining and managing confidential patient and pharmacy records
• Providing clear medication counseling, including instructions on dosage, side effects, and drug interactions
• Offering patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring, and education on medical device usage
• Compounding medications and preparing sterile solutions following established protocols
• Supervising pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
• Managing pharmaceutical inventory and supplies effectively
• Identifying drug-related problems and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Minnesota Pharmacist license required (in-hand)
• Retail pharmacy experience is welcome; training will be provided for retail pharmacists ready to transition
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail and professionalism
