Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Edgefield, SC

This per diem opportunity seeks a licensed Pharmacist with retail experience to provide essential pharmacy services in a retail environment. The role offers scheduled shifts during specific dates with flexible weekday and Saturday hours, perfect for candidates looking to supplement their current work.

Location: Edgefield, South Carolina

Schedule:

• Weekdays, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (June 4-6; June 8-11)
• Saturdays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (June 4 and June 11)

Responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications accurately and counseling patients in a retail pharmacy setting
• Utilizing the RX30 system for order entry, supported by pharmacy technicians to streamline workflow
• Managing an average prescription volume of 189-220 prescriptions per day
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active South Carolina pharmacist license is required
• Proven retail pharmacy experience with the ability to efficiently manage volume during busy hours
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, preferably RX30
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
