Staff Pharmacist | Elizabeth, Illinois

An opportunity is available for a skilled Staff Pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services in a retail setting. This assignment supports the pharmacy team during a transition period and may evolve into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Location: Galena, Illinois
Assignment Duration: 8 weeks (potential for temp-to-perm based on fit)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (1st shift)

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services under direct supervision.
• Provide counseling and advice to patients regarding their medications and therapeutic regimens.
• Address and respond effectively to patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints aligning with organizational policies.
• Maintain accurate records of stock, controlled substances, and inventories.
• Assist in resolving patient issues and clarify insurance or third-party coverage matters.

Qualifications:

• Current and active pharmacist license in the state of Illinois.
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Experience with Pioneer pharmacy software preferred but not mandatory.
