Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Elk Grove, CA

An urgent opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists to join a per diem team providing coverage across multiple Northern California locations, including Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern CA regions such as Redding and Chico. This role is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible work options and additional shifts beyond their current part-time schedule.

Location:

• Elk Grove, CA, with travel throughout Northern California markets
• Mileage reimbursement provided for travel beyond 30 miles one way

Schedule:

• Per diem, as-needed shifts averaging 1-2 per week

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality pharmacy services in retail settings
• Open and close pharmacy locations efficiently
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians effectively
• Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software for dispensing and record-keeping
• Administer immunizations as a certified provider

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience managing pharmacy technicians and operations
• Immunization certification required
• Familiarity with retail pharmacy workflows and industry standards
