Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Elmira, NY

An opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacist to provide exceptional pharmaceutical services in a retail setting. This role requires a commitment to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and customer care while working closely with the pharmacy management team to ensure optimal operations.

Location: Elmira, NY
Job Type: Per Diem (Permanent)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 7 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM
• Sunday: 10 AM – 2 PM
  Bi-Weekly Hours: 36 hours
  Setting: Retail Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer needs and maximize profitability.
• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix medications and other compounds, filling prescriptions with correct quantities and compositions.
• Provide professional advice to self-medicating patients and dispense non-prescription medications.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers and insurance companies to support patient care.
• Administer patient immunizations regularly to promote public health.
• In the absence of the pharmacy manager, oversee pharmacy associates by scheduling, recognizing performance, managing discipline when necessary, and delegating tasks to ensure operational efficiency and achievement of business goals.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Current New York State Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lead and manage pharmacy staff when necessary.
