Staff Pharmacist in Espanola, NM

A retail pharmacy position is available in Espanola, NM, with a contract-to-hire opportunity in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role offers flexible day shifts with store hours requiring a start time of either 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM. The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, including rotating weekends. The system used is Pioneer.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and provide patient counseling.
• Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (verification only; no compounding).
• Manage a high-volume pharmacy with approximately 600 prescriptions dispensed daily.

Qualifications:

• Active and clear New Mexico Pharmacist License is required.
• Experience with non-sterile compounding is a plus.
• Background in a high-volume pharmacy setting is preferred.
