Staff Pharmacist - Eunice, New Mexico

A hospital in New Mexico is seeking an experienced pharmacist to provide critical pharmaceutical services at a 60-bed facility. This role requires strong hospital pharmacy skills and the ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively. The position operates within an EPIC and Pyxis IT environment, supporting seamless medication management and patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7 on, 7 off rotation
• Day shifts, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Wednesday through Tuesday rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians’ activities
• Collaborate and consult with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient medication needs
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and medication safety standards

Qualifications or Desired Experience:

• Hospital pharmacy experience is essential
• Must hold an active New Mexico pharmacist license or be willing to obtain a temporary license promptly
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
