A pharmacy professional opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist with strong inpatient clinical experience to support an inpatient hospital setting. This contract role is based in Evanston, IL, with a duration of 13 weeks and the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in an inpatient hospital environment
- Participate in medication dispensing, verification, and distribution
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
- Perform clinical assessments and provide drug information as needed
- Support rotating shifts including first and second shifts, as well as weekend coverage
- Utilize the Cerner computer system to manage patient profiles and medication orders
Shift Details:
- Rotating shifts between 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
- Rotating weekends schedule
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Illinois pharmacy license
- Proven inpatient clinical pharmacy experience
- Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
