Staff Pharmacist - Fairfield, Ohio

Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a Staff Pharmacist during night shifts on a rotational schedule with 7 nights on and 7 nights off. This contract role starts June 1st, extending for at least 13 weeks, offering a unique opportunity to deliver quality medication management in a hospital setting. The position requires a valid Ohio Pharmacy License and prior hospital experience to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Location: Fairfield, OH
Schedule:

• Thursday night to Wednesday night
• 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 nights on, 7 nights off

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions
• Monitor and manage patient medication therapy for safety and effectiveness
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality improvement programs, and regulatory standards
• Provide clear drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Support emergency drug therapy management and medication preparation
• Coordinate pharmacy technician activities to ensure efficient department operations
• Uphold the mission and service values including empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
• Active Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing
• Minimum one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
