An opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to provide specialized pharmacy services in a long-term care setting. This contract role is based in Waseca, MN, with a reputable specialty pharmacy facility focused on delivering comprehensive medication management and patient care.
The position involves working approximately 24-40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with some weekend hours as needed. The pharmacist will be responsible for duties typically associated with long-term care pharmacy, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications among patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate dispensing and verification of prescriptions for long-term care patients
- Manage medication therapy and review patient histories to optimize outcomes
- Provide immunizations and patient education as required
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care plans
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- PharmD degree or equivalent clinical pharmacy training
- Immunization certification
- CPR certification
- Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification preferred
- Experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings, with knowledge of long-term care operations
