This opportunity invites a licensed pharmacist to contribute expertise in a dynamic pharmacy setting located in Florissant, MO. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering proactive patient counseling and medication education via phone, addressing inquiries on new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use.
• Collaborating with prescribers and their offices to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may affect timely dispensing.
• Reviewing and clinically verifying new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy.
• Performing pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a high-volume, closed-door fulfillment environment, ensuring accuracy in drug, dose, quantity, and labeling before dispensing.
• Assisting the pharmacy manager and staff in processing and transferring patients’ prescriptions, taking full ownership of the transfer process from start to finish.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in the state of Missouri.
• Experience as a pharmacist in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy environments is preferred; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
